Welp its mid-October and flu season is among us. While we have yet to have our first positive case of the flu here at 45 Urgent Care, PC it’s never too early or too late to come in for your flu vaccine. We offer the flu shot for anyone over the age of 4 years old. We are more than happy to bill your insurance for the shot however if you are uninsured our cash fee is $25.00.

How does flu vaccines work?

Flu vaccines cause antibodies to develop in the body about two weeks after vaccination. These antibodies provide protection against infection with the viruses that are in the vaccine.

The seasonal flu vaccine protects against the influenza viruses that research indicates will be most common during the upcoming season. Normally there has also been the option to get the “Flu Mist”, however this year the CDC has determined that the mist is not effective and is not being offered.

So stop by and see us at 149 North Star Drive in Jackson or give us a call at 731-554-0571 to set up an appointment.
